Dragos is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to support our rapidly expanding US-based global organization and their wholly-owned international subsidiaries. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the accounting and finance functions for Dragos, and the main in-house resource for all tax-related activities. You will focus on ensuring all supported entities follow federal, state, local, and foreign tax reporting requirements, and oversee and perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tax activities, including preparing, filing, paying indirect taxes and estimates, journal entry, and account reconciliation review.

Responsibilities

Responsible for federal, state, local, property, and international tax compliance and tax return preparation.
Researches and manages the economic thresholds for domestic and international sales; proactively registers the company in appropriate jurisdictions. Oversees a database of compliance reporting requirements of our products services by jurisdiction.
Responsible for value added tax (VAT/GST) registrations and preparation of tax filings for each entity and country.
Implements SALT tax reporting, is knowledgeable on changing state, federal, and sales tax regulations and legislation. Oversees tax provision, RD credits, and drafts tax-related financial disclosures.
Reconciles general ledger tax accounts on a monthly basis in collaboration with the general ledger manager
Reviews the invoicing process, ensuring the appropriate tax is charged; reviews the accounts payable process, ensuring that applicable use tax is accrued, as needed.
Manages the tax exemption certificate process for customers with a focus on sales and use tax.
Manages the self assessment of sales and use tax as needed.
Responsible for franchise tax returns preparation and filing.
Researches and provides support for tax positions related to equity transactions.
Collaborates with third-party service providers, both domestic and international, to assure compliance and timeliness of tax filings.
Point person for all tax-related inquiries, both internal and external, including annual audit work.
Helps guide the overall tax strategy for the company as it expands into new markets, business models, and jurisdictions.

Requirements

5+ years of tax accounting experience, to include a combination of public accounting and private experience.
Experience working with tax preparation software and sales tax software (we use Avalara as a sales tax solution).
Experience working in a fast-paced corporate or public accounting tax department.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, manage timelines, and deliver upon deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to maintain positive working relationships.
Strong work ethic and high-performance standards.

Compensation

Base Salary: $155,000
Salary + Benefits + Equity = $252,500
